Our Story

Built in Uganda, For Uganda

Crane Consulting & Coaching was born from a simple but powerful observation: Uganda has an extraordinary abundance of talented, motivated professionals — yet many lack access to the structured coaching and development support that could truly unlock their potential.

Our founder, Dr. Diana Mutebi, returned to Kampala after studying organisational psychology in London with a clear vision: to create a world-class professional coaching practice that speaks the Ugandan language — literally and culturally. In 2011, Crane Consulting & Coaching opened its doors in Kololo, Kampala, with a team of three.

Today, we are a team of 12 certified coaches and consultants, having served over 500 individuals and 60+ organisations across Uganda, Kenya, Rwanda, and Tanzania. Our programmes have been delivered in boardrooms, community centres, universities, and virtual classrooms.

From a small office in Kololo to Uganda's leading coaching firm — here's how we got here.

2011

Founded in Kampala

Dr. Diana Mutebi opens Crane Consulting & Coaching in Kololo, Kampala, with a team of 3 coaches. First client: a mid-sized Ugandan FMCG company seeking team communication training.

2013

First ICF-Accredited Programme

Launched Uganda's first ICF-accredited professional coaching certification programme, training 24 local coaches in the inaugural cohort.

2015

100+ Clients Milestone

Celebrated serving over 100 individual clients and expanded to include corporate packages for NGOs and international organisations operating in Uganda.

2018

Regional Expansion

Extended services to Kenya and Rwanda through strategic partnerships, while maintaining our Kampala headquarters as the centre of operations.

2020

Virtual Coaching Platform

Launched our fully virtual coaching delivery model during the COVID-19 period, enabling us to continue serving clients across Uganda without interruption.

2023

500+ Clients & Youth Initiative

Reached the milestone of 500+ clients served and launched our Young Professionals Initiative — subsidised coaching for Ugandans aged 18–30.

2026

Today: Uganda's Leading Coaching Firm
